Chiffon—a lightweight, sheer fabric with gossamer quality. When used in clothing, it gives an elegant, floating appearance. Chiffon cake, much like the fabric, is airy. It also has the richest of pound cake with the lightness of angel food.
A few weeks ago, one of my gym buddies gave me a jar of her homemade granola. She makes a large batch periodically and shares it with our circle of friends. Her granola has been the snack of choice amongst us.
The biggest blizzard ever . . . didn’t land in NYC on Monday. In stead, we got a ghost town with just enough snow to briefly cover sidewalks and streets. People tried to get home before subways and busses stopped running. Stores and restaurants closed in the early evening.
