Post image for travel: blessings for the new year

While I am traveling in Asia, sampling the delicious food and getting new ideas for recipes, I want to take a moment to thank you all for the generous comments and encouragement.. As in the four Chinese characters of blessing, I wish you and your family Happiness, Prosperity, Longevity, and Good Health.

Happy New Year!

Here is a glimpse of the colorful world of Penang that I have experienced these past few days.

Great clicks Ken. U’ve been eating it up! :) Oh I know those green roll thingies. Mum used to get us those as a treat when we were kids

Ken – I am so glad that you and M went to Penang. Do come back again and stay for a week, in George Town. There are a LOT more great hawker food and local dishes to be savored. By the way, have my Rasa Sayang reservation sorted out and will also have the spa treatment at CHI. Life is good. Happy New Year. XO. :)

PS: The top right picture is bunga kantan, the secret ingredient in many Malaysian and Nyonya cooking, BUT it’s not available in the US. :(
